We are cheering for you J.G and getting the word out about your amazing and heartfelt goal & determination! I am in awe of your amazing goal to being awareness to so many that are living with TBI! I have advocated for our OEF/OIF students as a professor and disability champion & we were lucky that our own young man is thriving now (post TBI), which is largely due to all the angels that have enveloped him with their love and care.
Thank you for making this sacrifice and I hope to meet you when you are safely back in the Bay Area! May all the angels watch over you….

Where is the link to donate?
Its awesome to honor all those men and women facing life every day with TBI- especially our Veteran and Pediatric populations!
As my son just said you are “going to be in the book of awesome”, but you are already there in my book!
      Please update with donation link.

We are located at Brandt rd. and Hwy. 88. Only fire house in the field to the east of the Hwy. You meet some of my brothers from Morada Fire earlier today. They called and said you are on your way.

  11. Randy Lemas says:

    Jessica,
I saw you today on Int 80 as well. Actually twice. First this morning as I was headed east towards Wells, NV. You must have just left Elko as I saw you near the weigh station, then, further east around Beverly hills, Nevada. Yeah, I know. I had to look twice also.
Honestly, when I saw you the first time, I thought, What in the hell does that lady think shes doing with a stoller on the freeway! The highway patrol is bound to check this loon out. Then when I saw you the second time, I knew it had to of been something special.
I just want to say God bless you. I pray that he keeps you safe and sound from all things that may harm you and that he gives you the strength to persevere.
    Cheers

Jessica! I have passed you along the road traveling from Salt Lake City to Nevada the past few days. I decided to search the web for a crazy gal running from CA to NYC… And I am glad to find your story. THANK YOU for sharing it with us, and for running for such a great awareness about TBI’s. You are helping dreams happen!

Saw you running in Peoria, IL when I was on a morning run. You asked me how to get to Adams street. Didn’t know what you were doing but saw your sf to ny sign. Googled to see if I could find who you were. Wow! Good luck, Jessica. What an amazing thing you are doing. Keep inspiring others. You inspired me!

Awesome job Jessica! I saw you yesterday making your way through Huntington, IN. I was on my way to pick up my son from the babysitter when I passed you on 24 bypass. We had stopped for some water and snacks at the gas station and were on our way to talk to you but couldn’t find you anywhere, sorry:( it was pretty hot out and we thought you could use a drink, also I was very interested in your story! I looked this website up online and now know you back story, awesome job! Good luck with the rest of your trip:)

Hi Jessica. This is Randy from the Davenport, Iowa area. I travel for work in my job. Last week june 19th on Thursday I saw you running towards me in the Chatsworth, Ill. area it was a very narrow two lane with hardly no shoulder, I saw you sign and wondered is she going from Calif to New York? Thought wow and prayed for you. Then this Monday I was headed up 61 to Dubuque, Iowa and I almost drove off the road. There was that lady again, I so wanted to turn around and talk with you, but in this day and age didn’t want to scare you. So I just prayed for you again. Something told me to do a google search and thete you were. I feel like I know you. I told my wife and family all about you. This Sunday I’m gonna share at church. Sorry this is so long but this is a WONDERFUL thing you are doing. Don’t know what your faith is. But please know myself and we are praying for you. Safe travels, good health, and Many Blessings. Randy.

    • Thank you so much!! Please do help me spread the word. Perhaps your church members would be intere
sted in supporting the fundraiser for the Brain Injury Association. Thank you so much for taking your time to send me this message to. 🙂

  19. Steve says:

Hi Jessica. Like others have already said, I saw you twice today (the second time from the opposite side of Rt 30, but my mother-in-law and I honked and waved). As soon as I saw the CA to NY sign I knew you were doing something special and had to google you. Keep up what you’re doing – it’s incredibly inspiring!
Best of luck on the rest of your trip!

Hola! I’ve been reading your web site for a long time now and finally got the bravery to go ahead and give you a
shout out from Houston Tx! Just wanted to tell you keep up the fantastic job!

  21. Rudy talked about you all day, Jessica! I’m so glad that he had this opportunity to run alongside you. If you need anything in Howard today, our cousins own a pizza shop, Brothers Pizza, there, and I am sure that they would do anything to help you. Rudy and I will be making our donation today 🙂 Our prayers will be ongoing for you.

Admirable! I am Jealous! I wish I could have my freedom to run from one place to another place but I am only limited to walk. Due to my re-placement of both of my hips. Over three years ago. Never the less continue and don’t stop. I applaud what you are doing, and I like as you move forward with your stylish cart. If I can, I may see you at New York City to applaud your physical accomplishments. Best wishes…
